Should I go see a doctor about my ankle?
It happened two nights ago. He is wounded and can not bear weight. I would not going to waste my time and money to see the doctor when it will probably just tell me to stay out of it until it feels better and prescribe some pain. I have crutches and I'm on Painkiller for a torn muscle in the same leg. I was RICE-ing it (rest, ice, compression, elevation) and type of printing what is the point to go there?
There are three categories of strains. The ligament is stretched, the ligament is partially torn or completely torn ligament. (sprains class 1,2 and 3) To you description of the amount of pain and bruising, I suspect that you have a sprain class 3. You have all the rights thing, to date (RICE). But walking plaster or bundle may be appropriate to prevent injuries and allow the ligament to heal. You already have the crutches, it So your call. Perhaps you could discuss with your doctor and ask if a walking cast / boot may be prescribed. It is a simple non-standard brace. (see link below)
